Cool 40k Terrain at Adepticon!
I was looking through my Warhammer pictures yesterday and realized that I didn’t share any Adetpicon 40k terrain photos. There was some cool stuff! The feature picture here is an exhibition piece brought to the convention by Opposing Forces and they title it “The Defenders of Holy Terra”. As you can see, it based of the Forge World Citadel fortress which always shows well. The piece itself was probably 6′x6′, maybe 8′x8′. Because of the height and detail, it really gives off the impression of epic Gothic architecture. It was fantastically done. One of the best parts of this piece, however, was subterranean views of the rooms underneath. These were full lighted, as well – the one shown here is the Apothecarium. ![]()
Adepticon plays on some very excellent terrain — probably at the 25% level that Games Workshop recommends in the rules, too. Also, there are some great displays. Here are a few examples.
I don’t have credits for these — anybody see something they want credited, just leave a comment. See something you like, the pictures are linked to larger format, so just click on any to see more detail.

The final 40k Tournament was played, I am told (couldn’t be there), on these fantastic game boards! The things that are so impressive about 40k tournament terrain is how rugged and generally easy while still inexpensive. I really appreciate the effort that all the volunteers who bring this put into making it available to us.![]()
